Will trying purple haze cause damage to my mind

some of my buddies asked me if i wanted to try it, i haven't smoked in three months but ever since then i haven't felt the same. just curious if it will make it worse or if i should just do it just for the hell of it and have a good time maybe it can't do any worse maybe its all in my mind
