Have you found that surfing and snowboarding don't really match? That the way you guide the board is actually?

Yes this is true. It continually annoys me when I tell people that I used to snowboard a long time before I started surfing and they always say, "oh well that must be why you picked it up quickly." Snowboarding and surfing only really have standing sideways in common and the fact that they both ride boards. To me they are completely different sports. Same with skateboarding.
