Personally, I don't think you like him that way. For me, especially when I'm around my friend, I can't deny my feelings to myself. There's no questioning it. It was nice that even though my friend didn't return the feelings, it hasn't been awkward as it has been with you. If you really like the guy, then there's no reason why it should be awkward between you two. Try to open up better verbal communication, (not just msn) and if that doesn't work, find someone else. Discuss your feelings with each other.
