Are you surprised to learn that Democrats have been in charge of this war almost as long as the Republicans?

Think about it: we invaded in 2003. Democrats won Congress (the spending arm of government) in 2006. It's now 2009. At some point soon, we will mathematically p the point where the Democrats have been in charge of this war longer than the Republicans. Why don't we hear more about this statistic?
