My brother told me that claudio sanchez has a tumor in his throat and that's why he can sing so soft.?

he told me that he decided to keep it so he can continue his career.Is this true? I would imagine somebody's voice being scratchy and squeaky if they had a tumor in there throat and his regular voice is really kinda deep, I think his singing is just talent, but I don't know I wasn't sure and it's possible.
