My boiler is due for its annual service+still under warranty, is it the manufactures responsibility?

hi, my boiler stil has manufactures warraty, its due for annual service but they said i need to arrange that otherwise warranty not valid , would that not invalidate the warranty if i get my private corgi engineer to touch the boiler? and is it not the manufacturer who should do this?
