Do you think the verdict would be different today?

i have been reading a book 'people vs oj simpson' what a messed up court room...do you think the verdict would have been different in 2010.i was at work,one group at work gasped and turned pale the other group fell to there knees crying 'thank you jesus'..i still don't understand as i am on my fourth book on this trial.the judicial system is good but has so many flaws.please help me here...
