Can I install my old AutoCad 2000 program on the new Windows XP operating system?

We got a new laptop with Windows XP (the super delux job) and now I can't use my AutoCad 2000 program. It will not install on my new laptop, says it's the wrong operating system. I don't want to purchase a new cad program, is there any way to get my old one to install with this new operating system?
